About Longview ISD Magnet Schools

Magnet schools draw a diversity of students from across the district due to their exceedingly high standards and unique learning opportunities. In two cases, Bramlette Elementary and Ned E. Williams Elementary, the program is STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics). An International Baccalaureate Programme, that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, is offered at J. L. Everhart Elementary and Forest Park Middle School and a Montessori program is offered at Ware Elementary and the East Texas Montessori Academy, focusing on providing foundational knowledge and instilling a lifelong joy of reading and learning. Classes are open to all. If needed, students may be selected through a lottery draw of all applicants.
